Look who's tu-tu!

Its official... we now have a toddler! I know I say this everytime I blog but it amazes me how fast kids grow up and the time flies!! Last night at her birthday party we all started talking about the day Shae was born and then I look up and see her twirling around in her little tutu and opening presents, and I think WOW! No way two years flew by that fast! That means its time to start thinking about having - Ya not really :)

Anyway Shae is really into everything princess right now so we had a lot of fun decorating for her party. She LOVES Cinderella so we had pink cake with Cinderella on it. She wasn't as messy with her cake this year as she was last year so we dont have any funny pics with cake all over. In fact I think she only took one or two bites of cake, she was way more interested in having pop in a princess cup.

We are so lucky because we get to live close to both of our families. It's so fun getting all of our family together. Everyone really spoiled Shae - she got a lot of really awesome presents. Mom and Dad gave her stuff for her dolly ( a little stroller, swing, and high chair) so far she just uses the stroller to chase Chachi around the house, and slams into our ankles if we dont move out of her way fast enough :) Justin and Trisha gave her a Mrs Potato head (which she is already addicted to) and some play dough (which I know she will love, but I haven't dared try yet). Sheena and Jason sent her some toys from F.A.O Schwartz (an awesome toy store in NYC), one is a cute little wooden peg ballerina puzzle and a magnet dress up doll. She loves things to do with her busy little hands so they are perfect!! Grandma and Grandpa Perry gave her a Dora blanket (another obsession) and a princess scrapbook for her to fill with pictures - SO CUTE! Grandma and Grandpa Theurer and Uncle Trev gave her some really cute clothes and shoes, and a really cute polka dot rain slicker. Grandma loves to buy clothes for Shae! And some cute princess panties (ok the pressures on now Shae!) Thanks everyone!!
Happy Birthday Shae-Shae!! We love you!

...almost 2!!

Our little baby is almost 2! It is so amazing how fast the time flies by. We love watching her learn and grow. She LOVES her independence now and we are trying really hard to embrace this stage. She will not let you help her with anything!! She wants to do everything all by herself which is great most of the time but there are a few things (like brushing her teeth) I wish she would let us help just a little with.

Shae loves to be outside and we finally had some nice weather and sunshine this week. Justin and Trish gave her this cute little trike last year for her birthday. She is finally figuring out how to make it move with the pedals. Up til now she has always just scooted around using her feet. Good job big girl!!

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Decorating the Christmas tree did not play out exactly how I had pictured it in my mind. I had envisioned the perfect day with the family...Christmas music playing in the background, everyone happily participating in decorating the Christmas tree, while totally enjoying the spirit of the Christmas season... Not quit how it played out. Of course Shae had to touch everything and "accidentally" pull everything off the tree that mom attempted to hang. It ended up with Shae having a total meltdown and mom giving up (til nap time). Oh well, maybe next year.

Breakin a sweat!

Shae works so hard to help mom and dad keep the sidewalks clear! She loves to be outside in the snow - the cold does not even phase her. She would be oustide all the time if we let her.

My First Wheels

TODDLER LAWS
If it's mine, it's mine,
If it's yours, it's mine.
If I like it, it is mine,
If I can take it from you, it is mine,
If I am playing with something, ALL of the pieces are mine,
If I think it is mine, it is,
If I saw it first, it's mine,
If I had it then put it down, it is still mine,
If you had it and then you put it down, it is now mine,
If it looks like the one I have at home, it is mine,
If it is broken, it is yours.

Cute as a Bug!

We had the best Halloween ever! Shae had so much fun dressing up like a little lady bug. She also had the cutest Owl trick or treat bag ever that her Aunt Sheena made for her. We started early in the morning with a Halloween party at the Nursing Home. We went with Trisha and Carter (who was the cutest little cow) to play games and have treats with Great Grandma and Grandpa Perry. After tearin it up at the Nursing Home we came home for a quick nap and headed back out trick or treating. We had a lot of ground to cover! That night we went to our Ward Party where Shae won best costume!

My Pumpkins!! Shae loves pumpkins, and of course every pumpkin she sees is MY PUMPKIN!
Lots of MY PUMPKINS! Right before Halloween we went to the pumkin walk. It was mine and Shae's first time going. Of course Shae loved it, but she wanted to touch everything so we had to take turns packing her. We went with Grandma and Grandpa Theurer and Uncle Trevor.

Daddy's Girl

We took these pictures right before church on Sunday. Ricky has been pretending to try and take Shae to nursery. But each week it lasts about five minutes and then they are both home watching football. Shae loves watching football with her Daddy!

Takin on the slides

Our warm days at the park with Lacey and Brock are over :( But we are die hards and since there is no snow yet we are still bundeling up and takin on the slides. A lot of people tell me Shae looks like me and a lot of people think she looks just like her Dad. Its hard for me to tell, I think she is a mixture of both of us. But one thing is for sure and that is she has her Dad's energy!! That is why we both love going to the park. She loves to climb, and slide, and swing, and I love to watch her burn her energy!
